Freewing

The Freewing is a 6'0" x 2.5" x 2.44" shortboard (33 liters) shaped by Matt Parker for Jack Freestone. It combines a high-performance shortboard outline with alternative-shape elements, carrying slightly more width through the tail from the wing for a freer, faster feel off the back foot. It can be set up as a thruster or ridden with a twin plus trailer fin configuration depending on conditions. Album recommends riding it at a rider's usual shortboard dimensions but with roughly a liter more volume than their standard board. It is shaped and glassed in San Clemente, California, at Loner Surf Club.
