Mid Mod

The Mid Mod is Chemistry Surfboards' mid-length model, positioned between a shortboard and longboard for a mix of glide and maneuverability. It carries generous volume through the front half for paddling power and easy wave catching. Sizes range from 6'2" to 8'0" (32.9L to 67.6L), and dimensions can be adjusted shorter for more maneuverability or longer for added stability. It has traditionally been ridden with a 2+1 setup (single fin plus side bites) but is also set up as a twin fin for a looser, fish-like feel. The manufacturer rates it 4/5 for drive and speed, 4/5 for movability, and 5/5 for paddle power, with a stated wave range of 1-7 ft. It is built to suit both beginners wanting an easy, user-friendly ride and more experienced surfers looking for a relaxed, cruisey board. It is handcrafted in Oceanside, California.
