Mashup

The Mashup is a groveler shortboard designed by Rob Machado and Dan Mann, blending elements of their Seaside and Spitfire models. It uses Firewire's Helium Core (a stringerless EPS core with Paulownia/Balsa rail flex control) and is offered with Fiberglass or Volcanic (basalt) lamination. The shape has a hybrid nose for paddle power, step rails toward the tail for added volume, and a double concave bottom that intensifies toward the tail. Firewire recommends it for 1-5 foot surf, particularly average-to-poor or flat conditions.
