Monsta 10

The Monsta 10 is JS Industries' 10th-generation update to its Monsta shortboard line, presented as an evolution of the Monsta 2020. It carries the same medium rocker as its predecessor, combined with a single concave from the nose that runs into a double concave through the fins, made slightly deeper than the previous model for extra lift and quicker transitions. Rails are medium, described by the manufacturer as forgiving in less-than-ideal conditions while still allowing high-performance surfing. It is built for a wide range of surf, from chest-high to double-overhead-plus waves, and is used by JS's Traktor Team in competition at beach breaks and venues such as Snapper Rocks, Jeffreys Bay and Trestles. Squash-tail versions come stock as a thruster; round-tail versions are set up with five fins. Standard PU construction uses 4x3oz glass on the deck and 4oz on the bottom for boards 5'6" to 6'4", stepping up to 4x4oz deck glass above 6'4". Team riders on the model range from teenage standouts to world title contenders.
