Insanity

The Insanity is a shortboard-style model from Album Surfboards designed to function as a single-board quiver across a range of wave conditions. It can be set up with a twin fin and trailer for smaller surf or a quad for larger, hollower waves. Riders typically go 1-2 liters more in volume and 1-2 inches shorter than their standard shortboard. Tail options include a swallow tail for everyday use or a round pin for step-up sessions in bigger surf. The design features a low-entry rocker, hidden foam under the chest area, a retro beak nose, modern rail contours, bottom contour, and exit rocker. Stock dimensions range from 5'2" (23.3 liters) to 6'5" (42 liters). It was designed by shaper Matt Parker and has been ridden by professional surfer Josh Kerr in quad and 2+1 configurations.
